HarborVisibility is an SEO consultancy for therapists and group practices. This website is operated by Manuel Otter, a sole trader based in Austria.

What data we collect

Contact form submissions

When you use the contact form on this site, we collect your name, email address, and the message you submit. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry.

Snapshot, guide, and newsletter forms

When you request a visibility snapshot, download a guide, or sign up for the newsletter, we collect your email address, whether you opted in to the newsletter, and for a snapshot, your website address and city.

These forms also send where your visit came from: the referring website (for example google.com), any campaign tags in the link you followed, the first page you landed on, and when your visit started. We use this to understand which pages and channels bring inquiries.

Website analytics

If you allow analytics cookies, this site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with our content, including pages visited, time on site, device type, and approximate geographic location. This data is processed by Google LLC under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If you do not allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics is not loaded and nothing is sent to Google. This site uses no advertising cookies.

Cookies and similar storage

This site stores the following on your device. Necessary items are always used. Analytics items are only used if you allow them.

• hv_consent (necessary, browser storage): remembers your cookie choice, for 12 months.
• Sign-in cookies (necessary, client portal only): keep you signed in while you use the portal.
• _ga and _ga_* (analytics, cookies): set by Google Analytics to tell visits apart, for up to 2 years.
• hv_attribution (analytics, browser storage): remembers where your first visit came from, so a form you submit on a later visit can include it, for 30 days.

If you do not allow analytics, where your visit came from is held only in the page's memory for the current visit, and is sent to us only if you submit one of the forms above. Nothing is stored on your device for it.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time in cookie settings, also linked in the footer of every page. Withdrawing deletes the analytics cookies and storage listed above.

Fonts

The fonts on this site are served from our own server, so loading a page does not send your IP address to a font provider.

Legal basis for processing

Contact form data is processed on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Snapshot and guide requests are processed to provide what you asked for (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Newsletter sign-ups are processed on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). The information about where your visit came from, sent with these forms, is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in knowing which channels bring inquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Analytics cookies and storage are only used with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act, TKG 2021).

How long we keep your data

Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months or until the matter is resolved, whichever comes first. Analytics data is retained for 14 months per Google Analytics default settings.

Third parties

We share data with the following third parties:

• Google LLC (Google Analytics 4): analytics data, only if you allow analytics cookies. Google LLC participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Calendly: if you book a call via our Calendly link, Calendly's own privacy policy applies.

We do not sell your data to any third party.

Your rights

Under GDPR and Austrian data protection law (Datenschutzgesetz, DSG), you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to processing of your data, request restriction of processing, and lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, DSB) at dsb.gv.at.

If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde (Austrian Data Protection Authority, DSB), the Austrian data protection supervisory authority.
